“Girl Gang” Interview: BRETONY MCGEE

Our 16th featured girl is the sleek and slim model, Bretony! She came from Detroit but has been living in NYC for quite some time now. Bretony has modeled for a lot of photographers and underground clothing lines so far, she’s even modeled for YoursTruly Brand! With the face of someone who could be on the cover of Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar, Miss “Bre” has hopes and dreams of becoming a signed agency model and an actress. Give Bretony a little of your time, and read her interview with us!

Where is your favorite place to have fun in NYC?:

My absolute favorite place is a little spot in the LES called “The Box”. I love that place!! I’m usually always there, or on my way there. They have everything I love. Nudity, homies, and debauchery! I also like West 4th street a lot. They have dollar pizza, bomb cookies, piercing places, and sex shops!

What is your life motto?:

I have many life mottos, but one of them is: might as well be happy, because no one cares if you’re sad.

What are your goals?:

My goal is to make art, do what I want, become self aware, inspire, and be a television personality/philanthropist.

What are your biggest pet peeves?:

I would have to say hypocritical people. Don’t tell me not to do something and YOU’RE doing it!

What is a materialistic obsession you’re currently having?:

Currently having an obsession with a Cannon T3i camera. I’m going to buy it as soon as I have an extra G! It shoots such beautiful footage!

What do you prefer, weed or liquor?:

Interesting question! I actually prefer neither. They both make me feel weird. But I guess alcohol is more easy for me to be in control of my mind.

What is a wild fantasy/dream of yours?:

My biggest dream is to move to Kiribati (it’s an island in the South Pacific), with no internet or phone, and live off of fish and berries, and make my own clothes… for like a year (maybe 6 months).

Where did you see yourself today 5 years ago?:

Exactly where I am actually… living in NYC and doing what I want!

What are you currently working on?:

Currently I’m working on filming for my TV show Gettin’ By, which is currently on Youtube…soon to be on public access! And also building my website! Oh, and photo shoots… and also becoming an electro-pop reggae rock star.
