Licsi Lichiban is a self-taught visual artist, illustrator, and creative director who was born in the country of Hungary but moved to Brooklyn, NY to pursue her artistic career. “She has exhibited her work in New York, Miami (Art Basel), Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Boston, Albequerque, Minneapolis, and in Wilmington and has participated at various live art events in New York City. She has been featured in Younity’s HEART & SOUL Book, Brooklyn Community Access TV, CLAM Magazine (France), Universe Magazine (Japan), TRACE Magazine blog, Liberating Style Magazine, PEP! Magazine blog (Hungary), Readconvention, Limite Magazine, Leisure LAB, Wishtank, Dope Swan, and Boys & Clothes Magazine, among others. “

  • Where is your favorite place to have fun in NYC?:

In my studio lol…after that, wherever creative folks doing exciting projects are.

  • What is your life motto?:
Don’t worry, be happy like a katbuddha
  • What are your goals?:
Keep on working on perfecting my craft. Travel to learn art from indigenous artists and make my own temples in different countries with local artists. Find a balance between my personal & professional life…my love life is equally important as my art journey. Enlightenment-the big bang!
  • What are your biggest pet peeves?:
Ignorance, bigotry, and hate. And people sucking their teeth as a habit…it drives me up the wall for some reason lol
  • What is a materialistic obsession you’re currently having?:
A beach house on the ocean somewhere in Brazil
  • What do you prefer, weed or liquor?:

  • What is a wild fantasy/dream of yours?:
A romantic escapade to the jungle surrounded by big cats guarding all our moves:)
  • Where did you see yourself today 5 years ago?:
Exactly where I am right now…living in NY, working it to the max.
  • What are you currently working on?: 
I’m working on a big surprise-yet to date my biggest multimedia project. Also have a ton of collaborations coming up and a brand new feline series. And working on getting healthier and getting more exercise:)
